REFERENCES At Megawatt we are scrupulous when it comes to recommending other vendors as our reputation is on the line each and every time we do so. The following people and companies are established and at the top of their respective professions. They represent some of the Washington area's most elegant and reputable event locations and services. They also have experience working with Megawatt so feel free to contact them. Upon request, we can also provide references from specific clients of weddings and private parties. The unfortunate fact is that there is no regulation in the disc jockey industry. Because of this, solid references are essential to help weed out any unprofessional or unqualified companies. We recommend that you not consider audio or video tapes as credible references because they can be easily manipulated. We have found that the most accurate references come from other vendors. For example, a catering director sees lots of entertainers and understands which are the exceptional ones. Don't hesitate to request a business license number and a copy of a company's certificate of liability insurance. These two items significantly improve the chance that you are dealing with a reputable person or organization.
